Pincho Morunos - pork kebabs

One of my favorite places for an evening snack is Bar Los Pinchos Morunos situated on Calla del Rosari 4, Benidorm, which is basically off the pedestrianised street in the Old Town known as Paseo De La Carretera.

Opening time for this gem of a place is vague, I would say after dark.  When I first found it, it was just an opening in a wall and it’s not progressed much since they have added a sign when open there are a few tables that you can stand at outside but you will probably walk past this establishment in the day time as other cafes use it outside space when it is not open.  Strangely I have just noticed the sign out front says established 1968 so I have probably walked past for years and never saw this place.

The menu is simple Pincho Morunos, which are small pork kebabs marinated in herbs and spices cooked over a charcoal grill, however, they do two versions normal and picante (hot).  You will need to know the word picante as they don’t speak much or any English here so holding up fingers and pointing helps but it is well worth it.  I remember the first time we went I ordered 4,  2 hot and 2 normal and my wife had said she didn’t want any, good job I know here and ordered her some anyway and she loved them they are tasty and juicy and ideal for a quick snack that won’t fill you up but will just soak up the other beer or wine.

Please don’t walk by, be brave and jump inside ask for a couple and taste them you won’t be disappointed, I must add I have no connection or affiliation with Bar Los Pinchos Morunos I just love what they do and try and visit at least once every time we are in Benidorm.
